This Veteran's Day, I hope everyone out there has had a chance to thank those who have served or are currently serving! When I was a kid I used to think that no one was active duty military. That unless there was a war going on then there wasn't an army. Like, it seemed out dated. I know that my Grandfather had told stories but I just assumed that was all in the past. Then, as I grew older and I learned differently, I feared that a war would be fought in America or that we would go to war. Then 9-11 happened and I remember hearing people I went to school with saying things about enlisting and thinking that there would be a draft. Then, after graduation I realized just how many people from my class had enlisted and how many people were on the front lines fighting for America. I'm truly blown away by the amazing people that I grew up with that are protecting me tonight. I'm blown away by their courage and their dedication. So, thank you to all that have served overseas or right here on our soil. Thank you to my Grandpa, I love him more than words can say. I remember him showing off his uniforms years and years ago. Thank you to my wonderful Step-Dad who served as Military Police and shapes and molds my little boy everyday into a perfect little man. (We love you!) Thanks to his brother Clyde for continuing to serve and for the (delicious!) MRE's that Joey gets to taste and experience. Thank you to Sgt. Matthew Moran for serving, you are truly missed and won't ever be forgotten. Thank you to all the amazing men and woman that I've known through the years and to the ones I don't have the opportunity to know. You are in my prayers tonight and every night!
